Chase's Story
Chase came into this world on October 21, 1986 with a twin sister, Marissa Joy. The two were lucky to have an older sister, Elyse Ashley. All of the children were born in a small hospital in south Laguna Beach, CA. He attended kindergarten through 12th grade in San Clemente, CA.
Some of Chase's high school activities included surfing, body surfing and he was a varsity letterman in both swimming and water polo. Chase was Valedictorian at San Clemente High. He was an active member of the Capo Beach Calvary Red Door Youth Ministry. He donated his physical labor during his vacations to orphanages in Mexico, Nicaragua and Thailand. The work for the orphans became his life's passion, and he dreamed of doing more for them.
Chase attended the University of Southern California, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, Campus Crusade and the Entrepreneurial Club.
He dedicated his life to making everyone he met feel better. He was happy inside and out. Chase loved all people. Everyone who knew Chase benefited from the relationship.
Tragically, Chase's life ended November 17, 2006, at only 20 years old, due to a fatal skateboarding accident. In his memory, his family has started the Chase Edler Humanitarian Foundation, a non-profit 501(c) 3, to carry on the work Chase would have completed.
